Hanging lamp KAUNOS PASHTAS (low)

“We will meet at the Central Post Office!” - it is impossible to forget the legendary meeting place on Laisvės Avenue. Such is living history, shining in the echoes of fond memories, in the common destinies of those who met. Thus, the symbol of the city’s memory turned into a lamp, the decor of which was inspired by the interior of the Kaunas Central Post Office. Here, the lobby floor is lined with patterned tiles reminiscent of a traditional Lithuanian tablecloth. This idea belongs to the architect Feliksas Vizbars, who designed one of the most important buildings of national modernism in the interwar period. The Central Post Office, built in 1930-1932, was conceived as a communications center at the time.

Times and systems have changed, but the idea of connection has remained. Under this lampshade, printed with recognizable national patterns, it is good to read letters. And of course, to make a date.
