I first heard about the nine-horned deer in old Lithuanian folk songs. I listened to the words, they were as beautiful to me as the mythical deer of the Solstice itself, bringing light on its antlers. From this living feeling began a fairy tale, which I once wrote down, following the example of children and adults. And Adam drew the characters of the fairy tale, marked them with signs, and brought them to life from the book. You can place the wooden illustrations in your home, hang them in the space, and wait for the returning sun together. On the longest night of the year, or maybe on Christmas morning, it will be the right time to read the fairy tale intended for this time. It is very important to read it not only with your eyes, but also with your voice. This is what the fairy tale itself wanted, it asked me to do. And now I am passing this request on to you. This way, everything that is waiting to be remembered in this story will be heard more clearly.
