Wall clock FLOWER OF LIFE

This ornament is one of the most famous, usually carved in wood. It is found on Lithuanian kanklės, under the strings, seen on the ceremonial bucket of ancestral mead and on ancient doors in a remote village in India. We call it a rolling sun, a star, a sunflower. As if the letters were arranged, light radiates between them every time, a primordial flowering erupts. And when multiplied and connected, the universal symbolism of the circle of life unfolds.

Everything that is alive breathes, repeats the movement of expansion and contraction. Waters and grasses know this language. It melts, disappears, becomes silent and returns uphill again. It floods, spreads, calms, crumbles, is silent and matures. It gives up, rests, surrenders to the equinox and changes. It moves downhill, accumulates sap and grows again.
