Hanging lamp MIRGA
The pendant lamp, decorated with a geometric pattern, attracts the eye with its openwork. At first glance, they seem modern, but they are inspired by the Latvian textile tradition. The oak lamp shade is made of wood, decorated with expressive rhombus motifs - a delicate example of the synthesis of old cultural heritage and modern interior. The decorative fragment of the special bands of the Lielvardė region became the basis of the decor.
The red and white bands woven in the vicinity of Lielvarde are distinguished by the unpredictable sequence of archaic signs, as well as the unique fineness of the fabric. When a fragment of the tape is transferred to the lamp cover, it seems that the pattern moves, rushes away, flickers. Hence the name of the lamp "Mirga".
